My Holiday Gift Guide

If you’re anything like me, you haven’t quite finished your holiday shopping (or in my case, you haven’t quite started it yet, either). But have no fear — I’ve got you. Below are some of my favorite things that are sure to please (almost) anyone on your list. Happy shopping!

Burlap & Barrel Spices
If you follow me on social media, you know that Burlap & Barrel is my go-to spice purveyor. They’ve mastered the art of sourcing the most incredible spices while building a better global food chain and improving the livelihoods of their partner farmers (read their mission for more on what they’re up to). And keep an eye out in early 2023 when my line of  Season with Authority blends will be released.

Atlantic Seafarms Kelp
Don’t be scared of what you may not know. Kelp slaps in almost everything you make — try it in pasta, salads  — just about anything. And the health benefits? Don’t get me started.

Fine tinned seafood from Güeyu Mar: This amazing brand of tinned seafood only just became available in the US and I couldn’t be happier to share the news. All of Chef Abel Álvarez’s seafood — including sardines, cockles, razor clams, squid in ink and even tuna neck — are charcoal-grilled before being preserved in extra-virgin olive oil.

Olive Oil from Massimo Forsoni Italian Organic in Umbria: Fun fact: I just bought 155 liters of this incredible olive oil to get me through another year at MM Kitchen Studio. Last I checked, Fiske And Main Wine only had four bottles left, so act fast. And if you happen to find it available anywhere else, please let me know. I’d love to share the news with all.

REAL Parmigiano-Reggiano: It’s ain’t cheap, but it’s worth it. You may think you’ve been eating real parmesan all these years, but most likely, you haven’t been. For a cheese to be a true Parmigiano-Reggiano, it has to come from Parma and be made from the milk of cows used solely for the purpose of making the cheese.

Caviar:  Nothing says Happy Holidays quite like a tin of caviar, particularly one from my fave, Black Diamond in NYC. I get the Osetra but everything they sell is truly top-notch.
