CHEF MARC MURPHY’S MONTHLY POP-UP RESTAURANT in New York City
Launched in March 2024, Marc179 was born as a lively pop-up in the former home of Landmarc, Chef Marc Murphy's beloved Tribeca restaurant. Rather than opening a full-service restaurant, Marc and his team transformed the space into something more intentional — once a month, for three days only, they open their doors to guests.
Sometimes Marc leads the kitchen, sometimes they welcome a guest chef, but the through line is always the same: a carefully curated menu, incredible hospitality, and the warm, communal spirit that made Landmarc an institution.
The format is simple: great food, great company, and an experience that feels more like a dinner party than a night out at a restaurant.

A Beefsteak Dinner

Chef Marc Murphy brings back a true New York beefsteak at Marc179 for one night only. Inspired by an 1860s NYC tradition, when butchers snuck prime cuts into neighborhood saloons, this no-frills feast is all about great meat, strong pours, and zero pretense. Think communal tables, hands-on eating, and one of the most fun (and messiest) nights in town.
Expect Marc's favorite cuts served family-style in his private Tribeca event space, with all the beef-friendly sides: steak tartare, shrimp cocktail, meatballs with marinara, hanger steak, and ribeye with roasted potatoes and steak sauce, finished with chocolate mousse and whisky caramel. Pours from The Macallan, plus beer from Kills Boro Brewing Company and wine from Umbrian Gold.
Thursday, November 12, 7:00 PM, $295 per person. Must be 21+. Please drink responsibly.
