Herby Avocado Toast with a Kick
(one serving)
What You’ll Need:
1 slice of your favorite bread (toasted to your liking)
1 ripe avocado
A squeeze of fresh lemon
1 tsp Umbrian Gold olive oil (or your favorite EVOO)
A pinch of Chef’s Best Friend (aka salt + pepper) – also from @burlapandbarrel
A final dusting of Cacio e Pepe blend (from @burlapandbarrel)
Optional toppings: micro celery, fresh Italian parsley, or a fried egg
What You’ll Do:
Toast it: Grab a hearty slice of bread and toast it up.
Mash it: In a small bowl, mash your avocado with lemon juice, olive oil, Diavolo, and Chef’s Best Friend. Blend until it’s creamy but still a little chunky.
Spread it: Generously pile the avocado blend onto your toast.
Finish it off: Sprinkle with the Cacio e Pepe blend and a little more olive oil.
Top it (if you like): Add micro celery, a few sprigs of Italian parsley, or even a fried egg if you're feeling extra.
Crunchy, creamy, herby, spicy—this is not your average avo toast.
