Surf 'N' Turf Roasted Oysters Recipe

You’ll Need:

  • 12 East Coast oysters, shucked

  • 1 stick unsalted butter, softened

  • 1-2 tbsp Calabrian chili paste

  • 1 head roasted garlic (see below)

  • ¼ cup chopped parsley

  • Chef’s Best Friend -by Burlap & Barrel

  • (or salt + freshly cracked black pepper)

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 2 tbsp Umbrian Gold Olive Oil

  • 1 tbsp Burlap & Barrel Surf ‘N’ Turf spice

  • Chopped chives + lemon wedges to serve

    To Make:

    Roast the Garlic: Cut the top off the head, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast at 400°F for 30–35 mins. Cool and mash.

    Mix Butter: Combine garlic, chili paste, parsley, salt & pepper with butter. Chill as a log or dollop.

    Prep Oysters: Preheat the grill or oven to 450°F. Place the oysters on a baking sheet.

    Add a pat of the butter mix to each.

    Add Crunch: Toss panko with olive oil + Surf ‘N’ Turf spice mix. Top oysters with the mixture.

    Bake: Cook 8–10 mins until golden & bubbly.

    Finish: Garnish with chives.

    Serve hot with lemon.
